TELUS TV connects with the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival

EDMONTON — TELUS today announced its further commitment to the Edmonton Fringe Festival with a special offer supporting the largest festival of its kind in North America.

From August 13-23, TELUS will donate $25 from the sale of every TELUS TV subscription sold in Edmonton/Alberta Capital Region to Edmonton Fringe Theatre Adventures.

“This additional support from TELUS will go a long way to keep the Fringe healthy and vibrant for future generations,” says Julian Mayne, executive director of The Fringe. “Twenty-five dollars for each new customer in Edmonton who subscribes to TELUS TV during the Festival has the potential to make a huge impact on Fringe Theatre Adventures. We are excited for this type of innovative support by one of our key supporters.”

This TELUS TV offer is in addition to TELUS’ $150,000 three-year commitment to the world-renowned event which showcases some of the most interesting, entertaining and innovative theatre on the planet. This year’s Fringe Festival, themed “Stage a Revolution”, will bring to Edmonton nearly 1,200 performances, by 214 companies, in 29 theatres, with an international cast of artists 700-plus strong.

“TELUS is proud of our support of the Fringe and this TELUS TV offer will add a nice boost to our continued partnership,” says Joanne Beaton, TELUS vice-president of Customer Solutions Delivery in Alberta. “We are pleased to offer additional support to the Fringe in an innovative way while showcasing TELUS TV to everyone in Edmonton.”

To take advantage of this special TELUS TV offer, visit any Edmonton authorized TELUS dealer, call 310-MYTV or go online at www.telus.com/tv to subscribe and TELUS will donate $25 to Edmonton Fringe Theatre Adventures. This limited offer applies to both TELUS TV and TELUS Satellite TV and includes 3 (three) months free. Conditions apply.
