Open-Source Fringe

In the online community, when a coder creates something revolutionary, they make it available via open-source software. The code is publicly accessible — anyone can see, modify, and distribute it as they see fit. It is decentralized and collaborative. It relies on community production. We want to replicate that in the arts.

Knowledge Sharing

Theatre is an exchange. We believe everyone has something to offer. We know as a well-resourced, forward-thinking, community-minded institution we have limitless ways to give back to, support, and uplift local creatives. It is our goal to make the tools we build available to the performing arts community. From grant resources and contract templates to programming tools and policy frameworks to job shadowing opportunities and hands-on training, our community thrives when collaboration is centered. This is a first step toward innovating the local arts industry.
