Permanent, Year-Round Positions
Position: AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk
Position type: Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: $46,500 + commensurate benefits
Anticipated start date: as soon as possible
Reports to: Director of Finance
Overview:
The AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk will be responsible for the data entry of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations monthly, as well as coding of expenses, income, and capital assets as required. The AP/AR Administrative and Financial Clerk will uphold cash management and follow cash control policies; reconcile accounts; and find solutions to solve financial matters. This position will assist with the administration of approved grants and funder support, issuing of donor receipts, and maintaining donor databases and other administrative tasks to assist the Director of Finance and other departments as needed.

Job Description:
The AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk is responsible for:
- Cost verification of invoices and documents from suppliers;
- General Ledger account coding for income, expenses, and capital assets
- Following GST guidelines and procedures;
- Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while adhering to policies, procedures, controls, and secure records management;
- Assisting with the completion of monthly bank reconciliations;
- Vault control management, including maintaining cash handling policies and procedures regarding Cash Float management;
- Assist in monthly reporting and grant reporting;
- Assist during yearly fiscal audits; and
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary and assigned by the Director of Finance.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
- Minimum two years’ experience of bookkeeping or accounting;
- Willing to complete a Criminal Record Check;
- Working knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Not for Profit Organization standards (NFPO);
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including excel spreadsheets and QuickBooks Advanced Online software;
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale back-end operations;
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment that responds to the evolving and innovative needs of a leading theatre arts company.
This is a full-time, permanent position that generally follows a Monday-Friday schedule. However, it is reasonably expected that the AP/AR Administrative and Finance Clerk be available for the lead up, execution, and reconciliation of the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival annually.

Position: Development Officer: Individual Giving

The Development Officer: Individual Giving supports the mission of Fringe Theatre through philanthropic activities and fundraising initiatives. Working collaboratively with our Development Team, this is a challenging and dynamic role for person who has a strong results-focused mindset. The Development Officer: Individual Giving reports to the Director of Development and primarily works with individual and monthly Donors.
The Development Officer creates and implements strategies that inspire charitable giving. They cultivate meaningful connections with Donors, key relationship groups, and the broader community through creative storytelling and data-informed strategies. They design, execute, and administer fundraising campaigns on behalf of Fringe Theatre. They measure and communicate the impact of our work as a charitable arts organization. They plan and manage Donor engagement to deepen relationships with Donors; prospect new Donors; and engage Fringe Theatre’s key relationship groups in fundraising. They author communications that support fundraising and engagement goals, ensuring all materials align with Fringe Theatre’s brand identity and voice. They collaborate cross departmentally to create and produce special events for cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising. They monitor and administer gifts in collaboration with the Finance Department. They support the culture of philanthropy at Fringe Theatre, and use a Donor-centric approach to help achieve annual and long-term fundraising goals, established in consultation with the Director of Development and Executive Director.

- Accreditation or education in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered;
- Three or more years of experience in fundraising, development, sponsorship, or strategic communications, ideally within a charitable and/or arts organization;
- Proven success in fundraising campaigns, Donor relations, and/or sponsorship acquisition;
- Strong storytelling abilities with an understanding of strategic communication principles;
- Proficiency in data-driven strategies, including social media and digital marketing platforms;
- Ability to create targeted content for diverse relationship groups;
- Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills, with an aptitude for building and maintaining relationships; and
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and optimize campaign performance.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Our best work brings together Audiences, Artists, and Donors. Some evening and weekend work is required. A flexible schedule to accommodate events may include start and end times that differ from 9am – 5pm and/or swapping weekday work for weekend work.
